Echoing Ida’s Renee Bracey Sherman shares the power of abortion storytelling on Jessica Valenti’s new podcastWhat Would a Feminist Do?  Billed as “advice from the front lines of modern feminism,” the podcast’s first show dives into the current state of abortion access and visibility.

It was the best decision of my life. I didn’t talk about it, not because I was ashamed of the decision that I made, but because I was afraid people would judge me. I kept my experience a secret. Six years after my abortion, I finally decided to start talking about it publicly.

Renee shares her story and gives some powerful advice to those who wish to do the same. Check out the entire podcast, including an interview with NARAL Pro-Choice president Ilyse Houge, at the Guardian, or download it here.
