Isabella Baker (she/her/ Ella)

New Mexico Field Intern, Forward Together

Isabella is a young Chicana organizer that primarily works on reproductive justice work with Forward Together in New Mexico. She has been involved in community organizing and social justice work since she was about 8 years old with her stepmom who was also a community organizer in New Mexico. She started her own work in community organizing at 14 years old and has had the opportunity to work with many organizations with diverse issues but, has always focused on engaging young women of color in all areas of her work. She was able to experience empowerment as a young person to tell her story and work to create change and she feels it’s important to pass that on to young people in her community as well. When she is not working she enjoys being with family, friends, and her pets.
