Aerin Gar-Yun Andriamahefa (they/them)

Grants Manager, Forward Together

Aerin Gar-Yun Andriamahefa (they/them) is a Chinese, Malagasy, queer, genderfluid, neurodivergent, child of immigrants from Chicago. They are currently based in the DMV on Piscataway land. As a carebear and writer, they’re committed to our collective and intergenerational healing and liberation and are continually learning how to move through conflict and tend to harm in compassionate and transformative ways. Aerin loves fractals – and uses water as a guide – to see, understand, and learn from the patterns, connections, and relationships between small and large, local and global, and the individual and the collective. With a sense of wonder and curiosity, they enjoy exploring new ways to embody, play, and create through things like tie dying, fiber arts, listening to music, dancing, hiking, and swimming!
